HISTORY OF THE CCBC The Collie Club of British Columbia was formed in June, 1986. The intentions and goals of the founder were to unite the many Collie enthusiasts and as a group, work for the betterment of the breed. We hold Sanction Matches & Boosters within BC as well as yearly Specialties. We are now hosting Herding events. New CCBC Facebook group has been created, check us out! We have held such events as grooming seminars, nutritional lectures, discussions on the Collie Standard, Herding Trials, Canine Displays, Social Events, BBQ's & Christmas parties. CCBC encourages all aspects of responsible Collie ownership: obedience, conformation, agility, herding and most importantly - companionship and love of the Collie! CCBC ObjectivesThe aims and objectives of the Collie Club of BC shall be: a) to promote the breeds of the Collie (Rough and Smooth) in conformity with the Standards of the Canadian Kennel Club (CKC) and to increase public interest in the breeds and to promote educational activities among the members. b) to protect and advance the interest of the breeds by holding competitions, by encouraging members to support such competitions with entries, by holding Specialty competitions, Sanction and Puppy matches, promoting interest in Obedience work and by other suitable means of technical or training nature. c) to aid in securing favourable legislation and protect Collies by participating in and support of rescue activities.
